Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The pie charts compare water consumption for three main purposes in different places in the world.
Most water in North America and Europe is for industrial use, but the main purpose of using water in the other areas is to cater to agriculture. The amount of water consumed for domestic demand accounts for the lowest percentages, except in South America.
Regarding North America and Europe, about a half of water consumption in both areas is for industry, taking up 48% and 53% respectively. Both record higher proportions of water utilized in agriculture, with the former tripling and doubling the latter in North America and Europe respectively.
Most water in the other regions is for irrigation, with the highest figure belonging to Central Asia, at 88%. The percentages of water for domestic use are usually larger than the figures for industry, with its gap ranging from 2% in Africa and Central Asia to 9% in South America. Water consumption in South East Asia, however, shows the opposite pattern, at 12% for industry and only 7% for domestic use.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Because of urbanization and population booming, the transportation system is facing traffic congestion, more severe accidents, and other problems. Some suggest the idea that governments should allocate money for the construction and the upgradation of railways instead of roadways. I strongly agree with this idea.
The investment in a modern train system will bring many benefits to individuals. People can get around a country faster because train passengers do not struggle with the congestion most road users experience. Trains can achieve much higher speeds than cars, and therefore, people will spend less time commuting. Also, transportation will be more comfortable because they do not have to monitor vehicles by themselves and can enjoy the sceneries along the railways or take a nap. In comparison, driving or riding a motorbike in bumper-to-bumper traffic seems to be much stressful.
Investment in train lines’ erection is of necessity for the society because of two main reasons. Firstly, railroads are the most environmentally friendly way to move freight over land. On average, trains are four times more fuel-efficient than trucks, so investing in this means can lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduce emissions of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides and therefore ensure even greater environmental excellence in the years ahead. Secondly, since the train has a higher capacity and uses separate lanes, they will reduce highway gridlock or traffic congestion in big cities and avoid unexpected crashes.
In conclusion, spending more money on rail lines than roads is a good option to provide a better transport experience for people and benefit the whole society in terms of environmental protection and safety on road.
