Some individuals hold the belief that there are no compelling reasons to intervene in the extinction of many animal species because it is the natural process of them going extinct. I, however, strongly disagree with this perspective and will elaborate on my stance in the following essay.

While it is accurate that millions of years ago, various ancient animal species faced extinction due to environmental shifts, contemporary extinctions are primarily driven by human activities. Industrial practices have wreaked havoc on natural habitats, disrupting the food chain and leading to the mass extinction of numerous species. The escalating demand for products derived from animals, such as skins and horns, has fueled rampant poaching, particularly endangering species like rhinos. Consequently, humans bear responsibility for these threats rather than nature and therefore should take corrective actions.

Additional justifications for the conservation of wild animals extend beyond environmental concerns to encompass their vital roles in ecosystem balance and our daily lives. The interconnectedness of nature means that the extinction of one species disrupts the entire food chain, impacting many other animals and even plant life. Moreover, wild animals contribute to the aesthetic and socio-cultural richness of our planet. They are integral to our diverse biodiversity and even hold significant roles in various cultures. For example, in certain religions, cows are revered and worshiped as deities; therefore, they should be protected from extinction. 

In conclusion, the extinction of numerous animal species is not solely a natural occurrence but a consequence of human actions, so we should contribute to the preservation of wild animals, as their extinction will profoundly affect crucial aspects of our lives.

Một số cá nhân tin rằng không có lý do thuyết phục nào để can thiệp vào sự tuyệt chủng của nhiều loài động vật bởi vì đó là quá trình tự nhiên khiến chúng tuyệt chủng. Tuy nhiên, tôi hoàn toàn không đồng ý với quan điểm này và sẽ trình bày rõ hơn quan điểm của mình trong bài viết sau.

Mặc dù sự thật là hàng triệu năm trước, nhiều loài động vật cổ đại đã phải đối mặt với nguy cơ tuyệt chủng do sự thay đổi môi trường, nhưng sự tuyệt chủng hiện nay chủ yếu là do các hoạt động của con người gây ra. Các hoạt động công nghiệp đã tàn phá môi trường sống tự nhiên, làm gián đoạn chuỗi thức ăn và dẫn đến sự tuyệt chủng hàng loạt của nhiều loài. Nhu cầu ngày càng tăng đối với các sản phẩm có nguồn gốc từ động vật như da và sừng đã thúc đẩy nạn săn trộm tràn lan, đặc biệt là gây nguy hiểm cho các loài như tê giác. Do đó, con người phải chịu trách nhiệm về những mối đe dọa này hơn là thiên nhiên và do đó cần có những hành động khắc phục.

Các lý do bảo tồn động vật hoang dã không chỉ giới hạn trong lo ngại về môi trường mà còn mở rộng đến vai trò quan trọng của chúng trong cân bằng hệ sinh thái và cuộc sống hàng ngày của chúng ta. Sự liên kết của tự nhiên có nghĩa là sự tuyệt chủng của một loài sẽ phá vỡ toàn bộ chuỗi thức ăn, ảnh hưởng đến nhiều loài động vật khác và thậm chí cả đời sống thực vật. Hơn nữa, động vật hoang dã góp phần làm phong phú về mặt thẩm mỹ và văn hóa xã hội của hành tinh chúng ta. Chúng không thể thiếu đối với đa dạng sinh học đa dạng của chúng ta và thậm chí còn giữ vai trò quan trọng trong các nền văn hóa khác nhau. Ví dụ, trong một số tôn giáo, bò được tôn kính và tôn thờ như những vị thần; do đó, chúng cần được bảo vệ khỏi sự tuyệt chủng.

Tóm lại, sự tuyệt chủng của nhiều loài động vật không chỉ là hiện tượng tự nhiên mà là hậu quả của hành động của con người, vì vậy chúng ta nên góp phần bảo tồn động vật hoang dã, vì sự tuyệt chủng của chúng sẽ ảnh hưởng sâu sắc đến các khía cạnh quan trọng trong cuộc sống của chúng ta.
