1. What type of people influence the young in your country?

I think firstly, the young are influenced by their teachers. In Vietnam, students always hold their teachers in deep respect because they deliver knowledge and give moral lessons to them from an early age. Therefore, children tend to believe and follow all teachers’ instructions and requirements. Secondly, the young also feel a grudging respect for celebrities who become their idols. For instance, some youngsters in my country idolize Bill Gates and try to start their own business quite soon.

Having a good role model is maybe one of the most crucial aspects on the path of self-improvement. For instance, I have considered my brother as an example since I was a child, which became a source of motivation for me to be as studious as him.

3. Do you think the education system in your country influences young people’s behaviour?

Yes, of course. The educational system not only teaches literacy skills but also plays a great role to socialize the children. The curriculums are tailored to educate them the right manners in the real life, so most students who are offered full education behave more politely and kindly than those who are illiterate. However, other factors such as parents, the media or friends exert even more influences on youngsters.

Parents tend to stay less time at home, or when a child grows up, he likes leading an independent life instead of living together with his parents. About friends, they are mostly at the same age and haven’t achieved enough success or life experiences to influence the thoughts of others. Therefore, my final answer is teachers.

Specially, due to the use of social networking websites, we will be affected by some trends in the virtual world.
