I would like to describe a very famous historic architecture in Hanoi, which is the Temple of Literature. It takes only a 5 minutes drive from Guom Lake, the center of our capital city, to reach the building. As the very first university of Vietnam, it is still used for hosting ceremonies, contests and festivals nowadays.

This temple does not only keep the proof of our history, but also represents the enthusiasm and dramatic changes in the Vietnamese educational system. Just a few walks from the main gate, people can already feel the ancient atmosphere, the peacefulness and for me, the encouragement to learn more and explore more. There are 5 courtyards, and each yard is decorated with different statues, stones or stelae, to commemorate the contributions of sages and scientists of Vietnam

It draws the attention of many visitors from all around our country, and even foreigners. I particularly take the chance to pass by the Temple whenever I’m about to sit an exam, or to apply for a job. After each visit to the site, it seems like all the burdens and stresses are relieved, and my heart will be fulfilled with calmness and joy.

As a Hanoian, I am proud that we can still keep such a beautiful historic place like The Temple of Literature. I also feel the responsibility to protect the site for the next generations.

Tôi muốn mô tả một công trình kiến trúc rất nổi tiếng tại Hà Nội, đó là Văn Miếu. Chỉ mất khoảng 5 phút lái xe từ Hồ Gươm, trung tâm thủ đô, tới nơi đây. Là trường đại học đầu tiên của Việt Nam, ngày nay nơi đây vẫn được sử dụng để tổ chức những buổi kỉ niệm, cuộc thi và các lễ hội.

Ngôi đền này không chỉ giữ lại những minh chứng lịch sử, mà còn đại diện cho lòng nhiệt huyết và những thay đổi lớn trong hệ thống giáo dục tại Việt Nam. Chỉ vài bước đi từ cổng chính, người ta đã có thể cảm nhận được không gian cổ kính, sự yên bình, và với tôi, là sự động viên học hành và khám phá nhiều hơn nữa. Có 5 sân chính, và mỗi sân đều được trang trí với tượng, đá và bia, để tưởng nhớ những đóng góp của các nhà hiền triết và nhà khoa học của Việt Nam.

Nơi đây thu hút sự chú ý của nhiều du khách từ khắp nơi trên đất nước, và cả những người nước ngoài. Tôi đặc biệt tận dụng cơ hội để ghé qua ngôi Đền này mỗi khi tôi chuẩn bị làm bài kiểm tra, hoặc nộp hồ sơ xin việc. Mỗi lần ghé qua nơi đây, dường như tất cả những gánh nặng và áp lực đều được giải tỏa, và trái tim tôi lại tram đầy sự bình yên và mừng vui.

Là một người Hà Nội, tôi tự hào khi chúng tôi vẫn giữ được một nơi mang giá trị lịch sử đẹp như Văn Miếu. Tôi cũng cảm nhận được trách nhiệm cần bảo vệ công trình này cho những thế hệ sau.
